"Ahhh, the Sun!" Carter exclaimed in relief as he ran into the familiar warmth of sunlight.
Le Beau sighed, stretching out his arms. "Well, at least we're outside," he said.
Clawdova shot them a glance as if to try and communicate, “We’re not out of this yet!” Then she continued to lead the way, away from the building.
They were in an abandoned town, somewhere near Los Angeles. Clawdova knew this, although she couldn't exactly communicate that to her companions since they didn't understand her language. And she couldn't speak English too well. So she simply hoped they would be content to continue and follow her... hopefully one of the other Autobots was nearby.
Le Beau noticed Clawdova starting to walk away, so he tugged at Carter again and they followed her. As they observed their surroundings, they began to noticed it was run down and most likely uninhabited. It was giving them the chills a bit.
"So where we going now?" Carter quietly asked Le Beau.
He shrugged. "I have no idea!"
They continued on for a few moments in silence. All of a sudden Clawdova stopped, her keen optics glancing around. Her sensitive audio receptors had detected a sound. However, it was nearly a full minute before either of the humans could hear it.

It was the sound of an approaching car. Clawdova knew it could be one of three things. Either it was a human vehicle, or an Autobot, or a Decepticon. She hoped it wasn’t the latter.
As the car got closer, the two men first heard it, and then saw it from a distance. It was a vibrant yellow and it was coming there way fast. Carter and Le Beau instantly tensed, thinking it was another Decepticon.
The car skidded to a halt just a few feet away from them, turning sideways as it did so. It then honked its horn. “Need a lift?” the car spoke through its radio.
Clawdova preened in relief. She then growled in her language, requesting Bumblebee to take the two men with her to a safer location.
“I’ll do that. If you gentlemen will step inside I’ll take you into the city.” With that, the car’s door swung open on its own, permitting entrance to the back seat.
At first, Carter and Le Beau just stood there stunned. They knew these things could talk, but they didn't know they could communicate in car form. They glanced at each other, then slowly made it into the back seat. As they buckled up Le Beau noticed there was no driver.
"Heh...well...drive carefully? If you don't mind?" he asked, the American next to him nodding in fervent agreement.
“We aim to please,” the voice spoke through the radio again. At that moment, it became obvious that the machine was using clips from radio shows or news broadcasts in order to communicate. The engine roared softly.
“Raptor, Raptor,” the radio blared, obviously addressing Clawdova, who still stood outside. “You coming or not?”
Clawdova shook her head, indicating her head back in the direction they’d just come from. She wanted to go back. She NEEDED to go back. Now that these two humans were getting to safety, she needed to make sure everyone else was getting out safely before she could leave as well.
As Clawdova ran back towards the base, the car began to drive away.
"Uh, what's your name?" Carter asked.
The radio came on again, reciting the voice of one of the Autobot’s fellow companions saying his name; “Bumblebee.” With that, the car began to increase speed.
"O-okay," Carter replied nervously as he sped up.
“We’re gonna go to a place to lay low for a while,” Bumblebee informed them. “Just sit back and leave the driving to us.”
The men didn't reply. Instead they merely tried to relax and take in all the events that had happened so far. Would Hogan believe their story? Would ANYBODY believe them?
Carter put his cap down in front of his eyes and crossed his arms. He would want all the rest he could get. Le Beau just sat there, twiddling his thumbs. He looked around inside the futuristic looking car for the first time, absorbing its sleek design and smooth interior. The seats were very conferrable and the radio knobs were much smaller. The Frenchman also noticed that there was no stick shift near the driver's seat, but he assumed it wasn't needed if the car was a transformer.
"You robots make the German Volkswagen look shabby," Le Beau joked, mostly to himself.
“Thank you,” Bumblebee replied, obviously appreciating the compliment. “Is there anything I can do to make your stay more pleasant?” This time, the voice recording that came out of the radio was feminine, obviously from some sort of commercial or radio drama.
"No, just don't run into any of those Decepticons," Le Beau replied tiredly. Still, unlike Carter, he wasn't ready to sleep just yet. Bumblebee really sparked his curiosity. He peeked around the inside a bit from his seat, only moving his eyes. Finally, something caught his interest: a photograph.
It was in the pocket of the driver seat, and it sure wasn't any photograph he'd seen before. It was vibrant in color and looked so real it was as if he could feel its texture. Le Beau noticed that the picture was of a browned haired boy, probably around his late teens/early twenties, with a very good looking girl around his age in his arms. Both were smiling in what seemed to be a lake shore, a certain yellow car right behind them.
"Hey, do you know these kids?" Le Beau asked as he held up the picture.
“Sam Witwicky and Mikeala,” the Autobot replied. Then, in order to get the message across the way he wanted it to, he began to shuffle through various recordings and clips. “Sam… is my best friend…I would go to the end of the world for him.” That last line had a mildly creepy effect, mostly because it was spoken by an alluring, feminine voice. Although it was obvious that the Autobot simply meant the spoken words, nothing more. Bumblebee was not trying to make any implications.
Still, Le Beau smirked slightly and placed the photo back into the pocket. He then placed his beret over his eyes and put his arms behind his head, relaxing.
"I know exactly what you mean, going to the end of the world for a friend..."
